How Gladskin works
Billions of bacteria live on our skin. Almost all of these bacteria are good and contribute to a healthy skin. They are part of our skin microbiome and should be left intact. However, some bacteria can cause problems. Staphylococcus aureus (S. aureus) bacteria cause or aggravate the majority of all skin conditions, including acne, eczema, rosacea and skin irritation.
Gladskin products, with the enzym Staphefekt™, are the world's only ones that selectively target only the S. aureus bacteria. Contrary to other products, they leave the good bacteria, necessary for healthy skin, intact. This helps rebalance the skin microbiome and marks a new era in the treatment of skin conditions.

The enzyme Staphefekt™
Every bacterial species has a different cell wall structure. The enzyme Staphefekt™ has the property that it can break down the cell wall of only S. aureus bacteria. This causes these bacteria to fall apart, like a balloon punctured by a needle. In this process the good bacteria on the skin are left intact.
Contrary to antibiotics, resistance against the enzyme is not expected. In many skin conditions the targeted elimination of S. aureus on the skin leads to relief within days.
