How Gladskin Eczema works

Do you have a dry, itchy or inflamed skin?

Billions of bacteria live on our skin. We now know good bacteria are essential for the protection of our skin and vital in maintaining a healthy skin condition. But there are also bacteria, like S. aureus, that can cause inflammation and symptoms such as itch, redness and rashes and trigger flare-ups.

Gladskin Eczema is the world’s only product that targets just the harmful S. aureus bacteria. Unlike conventional products, Gladskin leaves the good bacteria - essential for healthy skin - intact. It is a harmless but real active solution, suitable for long-term daily use.

Itch and redness
are significantly reduced

Eczema

  • What is eczema?

Eczema is a skin condition that can take many different forms. The most common form is atopic eczema (caused by genetic predisposition). In many cases the exact cause of eczema is unknown.?Eczema may be characterised by:

    • dry skin
    • redness
    • flaking
    • cracking
    • itching
    • pain or a burning sensation

Eczema may appear on different parts of the body:

    • in the skin creases
    • around the elbows, knees, wrists and ankles
    • often the hands and feet are affected as well
  • What causes eczema?

It is assumed that eczema is caused by a combination of factors. One of these is a congenital abnormality in the epidermis which reduces the skin's natural barrier function, in combination with a predisposition to hypersensitivity reactions to particular substances or stimuli. This can manifest itself as an inflammatory reaction of the skin. This inflammatory reaction leads to unpleasant itching and redness of the skin, which may develop into eczema.?The Staphylococcus aureus bacterium can cause inflammation of the skin and aggravate the symptoms of eczema.

  • Do I have eczema?

If you want to know if you have eczema, it is best to consult your GP or dermatologist.

Gladskin Eczema

  • What does Gladskin Eczema do?

Probably your most important question is what might you expect from using Gladskin Eczema.?This is what the product does for many users:

    • It soothes the skin
    • It reduces irritation, redness and itching
    • It prevents inflammation
    • It contributes to a healthy bacterial balance of the skin
  • How exactly does Gladskin Eczema work?

Your skin contains billions of bacteria, both good and bad ones. Generally speaking, the numerous good bacteria are indispensable for healthy skin, while it is the minority of bad bacteria that cause the irritation, inflammation and itching. The latter is usually caused by the Staphylococcus aureus (S. aureus) bacterium. Eczema may be complicated by infections. In most cases, such infections are caused by these S. aureus bacteria. Remarkably, the number of S. aureus bacteria will increase if the eczema is more severe. This is because a breakout-prone eczema skin is an ideal breeding ground for bacteria. The presence of the S. aureus bacterium may also lead to inflammations and thus aggravate the itching and redness caused by eczema. Gladskin Eczema is the first product that targets only these S. aureus bacteria. Whereas other products kill not only the bad bacteria but also the indispensable good ones, Gladskin leaves the beneficial bacteria intact. This helps the natural recovery of your skin.

  • Eczema Cream or Gel?

People with eczema are advised to use the Eczema Cream. The cream is especially developed for people with eczema who have a dry and sensitive skin. Do you have an allergy to any ingredients of the cream? In that case the Eczema Gel in combination with your daily moisturizing cream can provide you a solution.

How to use and ingredients

  • How should I use Gladskin Eczema?

For best results, it is important that you use Gladskin Eczema correctly.

    • Use Gladskin Eczema consistently two to three times a day: mornings and evenings
    • Apply Gladskin Eczema on and around the eczema prone areas (it is not necessary to apply a thick layer)
    • Leave this to work for 5 minutes
    • Afterwards, you can use your other skincare products if required
  • For how long can I use Gladskin Eczema?

You can use Gladskin Eczema for as long as is necessary. Gladskin Eczema can have an immediate soothing effect, but it may also take a number of weeks before you experience the optimum effect. This may be because your skin needs time to recover. We therefore recommend that you use Gladskin Eczema for at least four to six weeks. Occasionally Gladskin Eczema does not work at all - we have to be honest about this. This occurs when your eczema is not caused or aggravated by the S. aureus bacterium which Gladskin Eczema targets.?If you have any specific questions about your skin, we always recommend that you see your GP or dermatologist. You should also consult them if you are already using medication or a hormonal cream for eczema.

  • When not to use Gladskin Eczema?

If you are hypersensitive to lanolin, it is better to avoid the cream and to use Gladskin Eczema gel instead.

  • How to store Gladskin Eczema?

For an optimal effect of the active ingredient Staphefekt we advise to store Gladskin Eczema Cream products, with Staphefekt, refrigerated. Do you prefer to store the Cream outside of the refrigerator? It is possible to store the Cream at room temperature, however the shelf life will be limited to 3 month after purchase.
Gladskin Eczema Gel products, with Staphefekt, can be stored at room temperature. Avoid exposure to temperatures of below 0ºC and above 25ºC.

  • What is the shelf life of Gladskin?

The exact expiration date of the product is always stated on the bottle. All Gladskin products have an expiration date of six months after purchase.

  • Does Gladskin contain Lanolin?

The Gladskin Eczema- and Rosacea Cream contain a lanolin derivative. Therefore we advise you to use the Eczema/Rosacea Gel instead of the cream if you are allergic to lanolin.

    Excellent eczema help

This cream is now an essential in my fridge. It really works. Initially it took 2-3 weeks to have an effect. It keeps my sore, dry, cracked skin soft & supple. Redness also goes but this takes a bit longer too. Apply regularly as directed.

    Quietly hopeful

At 60yrs I have always suffered with atopic eczema. Over the years I have used the full range of creams/ointments available.
I have just ordered my 2nd bottle of Eczema Gel,
it's too early to say if the product has truly worked .But early results are promising , the angry red follicular eczematous spots on my legs are less inflamed and my skin smoother and less itchy.
The 50 ml bottle of gel only lasted 2 weeks though and at £44 per bottle the cost will have to be taken into account
I look forward to updating my review if my skin continues to improve

    Discoid Eczema

I have had an eczema area of about 1" diameter for about 20 years. It grew slowly to about 3" diameter about 3 years ago. I tried many things and ended up using Aloe Vera direct from a plant. I managed to slowly get the size down to 1.5" diameter, then it stopped shrinking. Nothing would shrink or clear it. I saw TRUST ME I'M A DOCTOR and decided to try GLADSKIN. I tried the cream, it altered the eczema but did not clear it, it burnt a little. I tried the gel. Within a week the wound was much more comfortable. and after about a month it started shrinking. I am sure that within a few months it will be much smaller or even gone completely.

    Eczema around eyes

I can't thank you enough for this wonderful product.  I have developed extreme sensitivity to eye make up over the past six months which has led to itchy and sore eczema around the eyes and nothing worked to clear it until I found Gladskin!   Then the eczema disappeared completely over a couple of weeks. Thank you!

    Inherited eczema

I inherited eczema from my father who suffered from birth with eczema on his hands. As a baby he had his hands enclosed in gloves to stop him from scratching. I also started as a child with eczema on my hands which increased over the years to my back, legs and arms.  Worried about the long term use of steroid ointments, I watched the T.V. Programme 'trust me I'm a doctor' with great interest. Now age 73 I have been delighted to use Gladskin and have almost cleared my skin. I am on my third order and will continue to use Gladskin, although expensive, to give me a much more manageable condition without the use of steroid preparations.

    Extremely pleased

I first ordered my Gladskin Eczema cream when it first appeared on TV, which was some months ago now.
I started with the smallest tube, but very soon orered the 100 ml size,
on about my 3rd or 4th tube, plus the Every day cream, The cleanser and the scrub.
They are all absolutely lovely. I suffer with Eczema on my face nad neck as well as my body. Ive been using the Eczema cream, cleanser and daily cream  twice daily, my skin has improved beyond words, i cant face a day now( pun excluded!)without using it on face and neck, it really works. I want to use it on a couple of very sore areas on body as i know it works there also, but its a little pricey! It truly is a wonderful product and the delivery is very fast.

    Really works

I have had intermittent eczema on my face for years. I typically had a routine of managing this with daily moisturiser creams and steroid creams used when ever it flared up badly.
I have now been using gladskin for over 4 months and have not had to use any steroid creams at all. I find that the gel works the best for me so I do still use a specific moisturiser in conjunction with it but applied about 15 mins after the gel.
I have never had my face so free of skin flakes as it is now and the red itchy patches are completely gone. It has also cleared up patches of eczema on other areas of my body.
As far as I am concerned it has been a complete success

    My Surprise

My life has been water sports and now is kitesurfing . This probably was the reason I have ecxema in the outer ears. Over the years lots of inflammation and infection all exacerbated by antibiotics and creams. Although I still have a little flaking skin, since using Gladskin I never have infection or inflammation. Many thanks

    Finally something that works

When it comes to eczema, we're all sick and tired of snake oils and so called wonder creams but finally something works. I'm so glad I stumbled upon this cream after someone mentioned it on Reddit.

It keeps my flares under control. I use it on my face mainly as it is quite expensive. But even just using it there it. Has changed every for me. No more flaking, Redness or infections.

It also keeps my skin moisturized.

This works for me, can't live without it now.

As with all eczema sufferers we have tried numerous lotions and potions but I have found one that actually works.
I’ve had eczema all my life and I’m now 32. For the past 4
years I have been battling eczema on my face particular my eyelids and around my eyes. It got to a point that I was using hydrocortisone too regular and it felt like as soon as I stopped using it that the eczema would return within a few days. In light of that the doctor prescribed me a product called “protopic” which is an immunosuppressant and apart from the initial side effects of itching and a burning sensation it would eventually work but I was worried about the long term use. That said again it felt like a short term fix.
Then I saw “Trust me I’m a doctor” on the BBC which mentioned how Staph bacteria can exasperate the condition and I could relate to the science as I use a product in the UK prescribed by my doctor call “Dermol”. It’s an antimicrobial emollient which is supposed to stop Staph bacteria getting into dry skin and inflaming eczema. Whilst this helps it isn’t anywhere near as effective as Gladskin.
I have since placed 3 orders of Gladskin and about to place my 4th. This appears to control the eczema on my face and since my first use in April 2017 I haven’t had to use any steroids and I can’t remember the last time I went this long (I’ve also thrown away those horrible immunosuppressant’s). So if you feel like your eczema is aggravated and caused by staph bacteria like me then this is the cream for you. This cream won’t work overnight so give it a few days to a week depending on bad your eczema is before you see improvements.

    Eczema healed

My 3 year old daughter has been suffering eczema since 6 months. Her hands and neck were always itchy and red, and she would scratch it under it bled especially during her sleep. We have been using steroid but it only helped when we continuously used it. I have not seen a nice patch of skin on her hands for almost a year. But since she started using Gladskin, her skin has started getting better in a few days and now the eczema is all gone completely. And we can maintain the state of her skin by applying he cream just once a day or once every 2 days. I finally feel that I am holding a 3-year-old hands rather than a 60-year-old ones.

Finally a cream that helps my daughter

My daughter has been suffering from eczema since she was six months old. She is now six years old and we have been through everything the dermatologists can suggest, including bandages, gloves, many different moisturisers and pasts, different diets, and nothing has helped, apart from using stronger and stronger steroid cream.

We have been using Gladskin for three months now and it has really helped. Her skin is the most eczema-free that it has been since she was six months old, and for the first time we have been able to cut down on steroid cream use, although she still needs it sometimes.  She no longer needs to sleep with gloves and wear full undergarment suits (day and night) which previously she needed to prevent her from scratching and opening her skin till it bled. Being able to enjoy daily life as other children do is a whole new experience for her, and she now enjoys watching her younger sister dress up in her old suits and gloves!

I can't rate Gladskin highly enough.

Suddenly developed eczema, according to the dermatologist, especially on the eyelids and scalp. I have tried many hormone ointments and lotions, but nothing helped completely. Now I have been using the cream on my eyelids for a week. Meanwhile, I have been able to reduce the  hormone ointment. My complaints are reduced by 95%! My quality of life has been greatly improved. Had a lot of itching and red swollen eyes. It is a very smooth cream that I can use without any problems. Super nice! I will keep using!

No improvement. Used it three times a day for over a week. Have had atopic eczema for 32 years. Confirmed by many GPs that I have an over concentration of SAureus and have had countless infections over the years. What works for some people won't work for others. I have a feeling there are overriding triggers/principal causes in my case. Eczema can be highly complex vis à vis cause and effect. Good luck to everyone else it's working for.

    From Jennifer...

    Hello Gladskin Creators!
I wanted to thank you from the sincerest place In my heart. Gladskin has given me my best friend back.
My partner has had extremely severe eczema
since he was born. I don't mean the *severe* that some people have - the annoying and itchy kind. I am referring to the kind of *severe* that affects every. single. area. of. life.
When he was a child, it was so severe that his parents taped mitts to his hands to try to stop him scratching through to muscle. His Mum sometimes had to fill a bath to soak the blood covered sheets off his skin that had stuck to him during the night. They were too painful to pull off, otherwise.
When I met him, he was taking courses of steroids (not good) as often as medically advised/ possible so he could function as a *normal* human being. He was taking painkillers each and every day to try to numb the pain from only moving.
He was in a constant discomfort and sometimes, completely debilitating pain, not to mention his emotional health. He was always self conscious of showing any skin when the eczema flared.
Restricted diets, steroids, thousands of dollars spent on creams, clinical drug trials, allergy testing and a whole host of other possible treatments later - we discovered Gladskin.
I cannot thankyou enough. After a few days of using Gladskin, his once inflamed, chapped, red raw, bleeding and irritated skin was soothed. The eczema cleared up. His skin is smooth, clear and rejuvenated. My partner is happier, more confident and not in constant pain anymore. After 34 years of searching for the light at the end of the tunnel, we found it. No more steroids. No more painkillers.
If he misses even a day of using Gladskin, he notices it. His gorgeous Mum has had 6 more pump packs delivered from England so he doesn't feel like he has to use it so sparingly.  (Cheers for sending it straight to Australia from the Netherlands, now) Once again, Thankyou. You've no idea the difference you've made.
    Warmest regards,
    Jennifer Leech.

    Lifelong Eczema Almost Gone

I've always had eczema.  Mainly on my hands, arms, neck and legs.  I was so sceptical of Gladskin, but thought why not give it a go.
It took some time to have an effect,
but now I have very little visible signs of eczema and far less itching.
I paired it with a steroid cream.  But now I only have to use the steroid cream when I have little flair ups.  It's not magic, but it worked for me.

I do not write reviews but felt that I had to share my views about this cream. I have had hand eczema since birth and am now 31. As you can imagine I have tried everything including, natural products, supplements, steroids etc to try and improve my skin as it has always been inflamed, and cracks very easily. I bought this product after reading the reviews and thought I have to try it as it may work. After 2 weeks I was about to give up as I saw no improvement and my hands actually became more red and itchy after applying however, I persisted as I had spent so much money on it and I am so glad I did. It has now been just over a month and my hands are no longer red, inflamed, cracked or itchy and I feel confident enough to actually shake someone's hand (which I normally try to avoid as it's embarrassing). If you buy this cream just stick with it as it may just take that bit longer for you to see results.

    Partial success with gel

I have active eczema on my eyelids, mouth, neck and fingers for the last 15 years and have been using Gladskin for over ten weeks. I started with the cream for the first 6 weeks, which made my eczema on my face and neck flare very badly and my eyes swell, until I read here on the reviews page that other people found the lanolin in the cream irritating. I switched to the gel and the swelling in my eyes went away instantly, and the eczema has gone down enough that I haven't needed cortisone/Protopic on my eyes since then (for the first time in over a decade). My fingers are a little better when I use the cream, (not the gel) but the rest of my eczema is as active as ever. The downside I found with the gel is that if you have very dry skin -especially after showering/washing your face- then applying and leaving the gel work on unmoisturised skin for 10 minutes before using moisturiser is complete and utter torture, often to the point that it feels like it's harmful. It would be great to see Gladskin figure out a way to produce the moisturiser without using an ingredient that many people with eczema are allergic to. My dermatologist was fairly critical of the product's effectiveness, but I would definitely recommend trying it.

    Certainly effective

I've had eczema for 50 years now. I have it generally fairly well controlled, but on my hands it's been a nightmare. I've been using the strongest steroids for years, and my skin is very thin, but even then it was covered in eczema, and open in so many places, and devastatingly itchy. 9 weeks into using Gladskin twice a day, they are still a bit red, but now the skin is closed, and I've been able to reduce my steroid use as well. Don't know where I'll end up with this, but for the moment I'm very encouraged, and would recommend that anyone with eczema should give this a try. It's pretty miraculous!

    Definite improvement

I bought this product for my son who suffers from eczema on his face. In particular he suffers recurrent infections on his upper lips and eyelids. After using Gladskin eczema on his upper lip there was an immediate improvement on a region of open inflamed skin that had been weeping and not healing for weeks. Within a week his upper lip healed and s remained so. There has been an improvement in the skin on his eyelids, but not complete healing. I use Gladskin in addition to an anti fungal cream and this seems to keep the skin flare ups to a low level, though does not completely heal the skin.

    Visibly improved

Ordered our daughter the cream; Using it if necessary alongside cetomacrogol. Skin is a bit calmer and easier to to control the flares. Was skeptical, but just ordered the second package.

Thank you!

    Cream /gel

My son has been trying the eczema cream for 3 weeks but I think he maybe allergic to something in it as his skin has got worse would it be the lanolin? Should I try the gel?
